problem with explorist500

hey there i have a explorist 500 that i was updating the firmware on and in the end of the update my screen went grey i waited for 1 hour and no change so i unplugged it from my pc and now i cant turn it on. i have come to the conclusion that i have to find a different way to reload the firmware via serial cable but i cant find a schematic in how to build a cable and the proper interface program. so if there is someone who could help i would appreciate it.
