Explorist 400 info needed

Hi, I have a Explorist 400, trying to update it, I can't seem to save my info to my computer, getting not reconizing new usb item, I don't want to loose my POI's, any good sites that have tutorials, clear walk through's, ect. would be great, thanks:patriot:
