El Salvador, San Slavador , south america GPS map??? Help

:idunno:i,m a newbie, I have a garmin oregon 200, i,m going to El Salvador, San Salvador, next summer with my girlfriend. She is from there, and i noticed there are no maps for El salvador, south america.

What can i use when i go there? can i make my own using google maps?, google earth ? what kind of coverage will i have. Can i use map source?
