Which GPS systems come with USA & Europe (United Kingdom) maps?

I want to get my husband a GPS and as his family is in the UK and we will be visiting most years I thought it would make sense to get one which will work in the US & the UK (save paying extra when renting a car over there). I was hoping for a recommendation for a GPS which worked well in both countries with maps either included or inexpensive to add on. Cheers, J
